We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our company’s database systems. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases while also supporting the development teams with database design, tuning, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of database management systems, be proactive in identifying potential issues, and have the ability to implement solutions efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Install, monitor, maintain, and manage the distributed SQL Server environment that is the foundation of our solution ensuring maximum reliability, performance, and availability.
Develop stored procedures and other T-SQL code
Develop new reports; Improve existing reports
Develop automated procedures to manage version control, database maintenance, and management reporting
Improve performance of existing stored procedures
Design, code, and integrate SQL into existing systems, third party systems and green field systems

Qualifications

SQL Server Administration (version 2008 and higher)
Expert T-SQL skills with 6+ years of DBA and MS SQL database programming
Deep understand of database internals, job scheduling, architecture, and optimization
Network communications, TCP/IP, UDP, and related protocols
Experience with XML, XSLT, XML Schema
4+ years of experience in systems administration
Windows Server 2008 (R2) and Windows Server 2012 administration
Linux server administration (Ubuntu preferred)
Backup maintenance
Disaster recovery
System “spin-up” automation
Job scheduling and any supporting scripting skill
Log archiving and pruning
Experience maintaining big data solutions (mongoDB)
