Senior Technical Support Representative

ETA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Support Representative to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our technical support department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to our clients, ensuring their seamless use of our transit technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively discuss, understand, and respond to customer issues requiring technical system knowledge.
  • Work with development team to resolve customer hardware and software issues which may involve travel to customer sites.
  • Replicate customer problems in lab environment or in the field. Assist technical team to drive to a technical root cause analysis and an ultimate fix.
  • Configure customer systems. Prepare system for various test phases.
  • Update technical documentation. Modify and customize technical and maintenance manuals to meeting individual needs of each customers installation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for our products and services, providing guidance and training to clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather information and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all technical support interactions, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Continuously update your technical knowledge to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of transit technology systems and operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in various operating systems, software applications, and networking protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in IP computer networking with the ability to configure and/or replicate customer problems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with various Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
