Boca Raton, Florida May 29, 2026 – ETA Transit Systems announced today a new partnership with Transdev to bring its intelligent transit technology suite to Texas State University (TXST). Working alongside Transdev, the operator of TXST’s campus transit service, ETA will deliver CAD/AVL technology, rider information tools, onboard announcements, and integrated passenger counting capabilities across the university’s 49-bus fleet. Service is expected to launch in August 2026.
The deployment will give TXST greater visibility into fleet operations while improving the rider experience for students, faculty, and staff. With real-time vehicle tracking and onboard stop announcements, riders will have clearer, more accessible information throughout their trip.
As part of the project, ETA will also support TXST and Transdev with passenger counting validation with the use of Tally, ETAs trip surveying software. ETA brings deep expertise in APC systems and works closely with agencies to evaluate existing onboard equipment before recommending new hardware. This approach allows ETA’s team of hardware and implementation experts to integrate with passenger counting investments already in place whenever possible, while ensuring the system is configured to support accurate reporting and long-term data integrity.
