Boca Raton, Fla. — July 7, 2026 — ETA Transit, the cloud-native, AI-powered transit technology provider known for delivering transit-grade onboard equipment coupled with the industry’s most comprehensive web-based software for campus transit operations, today announced it has been selected by Syracuse University to deploy a comprehensive fleet technology upgrade across its campus transit system.

The award covers a 23-vehicle fixed-route base system built on ETA’s Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) platform, including Vehicle Logic Units, rugged mobile data terminals, automatic passenger counters, onboard audio/visual next-stop announcements with new interior digital signage, and an outdoor weather-rated LCD digital signage system to deliver real-time passenger information and infotainment content at a key campus location.

“We’re proud that Syracuse University chose ETA to power the next generation of its transit system,” said John Maglio, CEO of ETA Transit Systems. “For students, this means a transit experience they can count on — accurate, real-time arrival information right at their fingertips, so they always know exactly when their ride is coming. Syracuse needs this installed within 9 weeks, so we adjusted our schedule to make it happen — that’s what ETA does.”

Syracuse University is eager to bring this innovative technology to students in time for the fall semester, and ETA’s track record of fast, precise implementations makes that timeline achievable — the system is expected to be fully operational and ready to serve the campus community when classes resume this fall.
