Directional route miles

The mileage in each direction that public transportation vehicles travel during revenue service. This measurement is based on the route path over a facility or roadway and is calculated considering the direction of travel. It excludes staging or storage areas at the start or end of the route and does not account for the number of traffic lanes or rail tracks in the right-of-way.
