Boca Raton, FL – July 26, 2023 — ETA Transit is pleased to announce that its longtime transit partner, the City of Coral Gables, FL has added automatic passenger counting (APC) and onboard Wi-Fi Internet access to its fleet of trolleys.
The addition of APCs to its trolleys provides an enhanced, automatic way to track passenger movement and provides improved visibility to the needs of its passengers. These counters easily integrate with their existing SPOT™ CAD/AVL system and provides highly accurate counts without the need for manual data collection.
The onboard Wi-Fi is another improvement that is sure to please Coral Gables trolley passengers. They will enjoy reliable, high-speed Internet connections without having to tap into their personal data plans in order to work or entertain themselves during their travel.
“Coral Gables is a perfect example of the ETA Transit value proposition,” says ETA President John Maglio. “They’re an existing customer who chose to expand upon their existing SPOT™ ITS and improve their offering to meet the demands of a competitive marketplace.”
Nelson Gonzalez, Assistant Innovation & Technology Director at the City of Coral Gables says, “We have been leveraging ETA’s technology solutions since 2016. Throughout our partnership, ETA has consistently exceeded expectations and fulfilled their promises. Their product showcases top-notch equipment reliability, comprehensive software features, and exceptional customer service.
