Boca Raton, FL – November 1, 2023 — ETA Transit Systems, a leading provider of advanced transit technology solutions, is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a CAD/AVL project with the AppalCART, a transit system servicing the Appalachian State University and the town of Boone, North Carolina.
AppalCART issued an RFP earlier this year for a Real-time Passenger Information System to replace its legacy bus tracking system. The goals of the RFP centered on providing Appalachian State University students, Watauga County, Town of Boone, NC residents, and visitors modern, cloud-based software that includes web and mobile application-based passenger information and options for dynamic message signs at selected stops.
The agency also required an accurate automatic passenger counting (APC) system.
