Oswego County Upgrades CAD/AVL Platform with ETA Transit Systems

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Boca Raton, Florida December 18, 2025ETA Transit Systems has successfully deployed a modern CAD/AVL and onboard technology platform for Oswego County in collaboration with Via, officially launching public service by the end of September as planned. The project moved from kickoff call in early August to full hardware installation in early September, resulting in deployment within just weeks. This accelerated timeline aligned with the county’s public launch date and reflects strong coordination between all project partners and Oswego County’s transit team.

Oswego County is now operating ETA Transit’s system for CAD/AVL, automated voice announcements in both English and Dutch, and electronic passenger counting through ETA’s mobile data terminal-based functionality. By leveraging MDTs for passenger counts, drivers no longer need to manually tally ridership on paper, improving accuracy and efficiency. This deployment represents a significant investment in modern, accessible, and efficient public transit service for Oswego County residents.
